Lower back, Hips & Pelvis Workshop

Saturday 21 July 2.30-4.30pm

Many people who suffer with chronic lower back, hip or pelvis issues believe constant pain is something they have to live with. You can relieve back, hip and pelvis pain with Yoga!

Our sedentary lifestyle, such as sitting at the computer, driving to and from work, relaxing on the couch and standing for long periods of time can weaken our backs, contributing to poor posture. Ligaments and tendons shorten over time causing tension and compression in the spine that contributes to a weak and painful back and shoulders.

Join this workshop to broaden your understanding of causes of pain in your body and learn Yoga stretches and postures that will help you develop a healthier and stronger body.

You will learn more about your body and how it works, as well as being encouraged to recognise and enquire into areas of resistance.

This workshop is designed to deepen awareness by presenting in a very practical and accessible way the anatomy and physiology of specific areas of the body.

Suitable for everyone, no previous yoga experience is required.

Sanchia has more than 10 years experience working as a Remedial Massage Therapist and is also a qualified and passionate Yoga Instructor. Before becoming a massage therapist, Sanchia worked in a corporate environment for many years, she understands first hand how that life can affect the body on both a physical and emotional level. Sanchia recognises that the first step towards recovery is the individual’s awareness of their condition and how their body works. Her knowledge of the anatomy of the human body is intuitively incorporated into the sequencing of her yoga classes, which are focused on assisting individuals to develop a deeper understanding of their own body.
